Mumbai : Over 15 lakh students across Maharashtra brace themselves as the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations, popularly known as Class 12th boards, commence tomorrow. This year's edition of the state-wide exams promises to be bigger and better, with the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) implementing key changes to benefit students.
Exams Begin with a Boon
To ease the pressure and provide ample time for writing, the board has announced an additional 10 minutes for all HSC exams. This welcome decision offers students more breathing space to tackle questions thoughtfully and complete their papers comfortably.
Calculator Conundrum
However, amidst the good news, there's a strict reminder for students. Unlike previous years, external calculators will not be allowed in the exam halls. Only board-approved calculators will be permitted, urging students to familiarize themselves with the authorized model beforehand.
The board also reiterated its strong stance against any form of malpractice. While the added time and approved calculators aim to facilitate a fair and stress-free environment, the board emphasized the importance of academic integrity. Students are strongly advised to resist any temptation to cheat and focus on showcasing their own genuine preparation and knowledge.
