The Maharashtra Navnirman Vidyarthi Sena (MNVS) staged a protest march to the Yeola tehsil office, advocating for government job vacancies to be filled exclusively through the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC). The protesters emphasized their discontent with private agencies handling recruitment processes and demanded a shift towards MPSC for transparency and fairness.
Multiple Demands Raised by MNVS
Aside from the primary demand for MPSC-led job recruitment, the MNVS voiced concerns over various educational and administrative issues. They called for the cancellation of the February 19 CBSE exam, coinciding with Shivaji Jayanti, citing cultural significance. Additionally, the MNVS urged authorities to halt the practice of charging students ₹1000-1200 for online job applications and to discontinue the provision of eggs in mid-day meals, reflecting broader concerns beyond recruitment practices.
