The Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) has launched 20 electric buses to improve tourist transport to the Ajanta Caves. The first bus debuted on World Tourism Day, marking a significant move toward sustainable tourism. The new service, with buses accommodating 14 to 22 passengers, will operate every two minutes, showcasing a short film about the caves during the journey. This initiative replaces the previous diesel service, enhancing visitor convenience while reducing pollution. The full fleet will be operational by October 20, 2024.
